THE STUDIO
CSMN Architects was founded by Cosmin Daniel Amato and it operates in the fields of Architecture (buildings, hotels, retail,
residences, offices, exhibitions & installations), Industrial design (for the hotellerie world & design companies) and Art Direction.

COSMIN DANIEL AMATO
Originally from Genoa, Italy, Cosmin Daniel Amato graduated at the University of Genoa. He worked at Foster+Partners,
David Chipperfield Architects and Patricia Urquiola Studio for over 15 years. He is the Founder, CEO and Director of
CSMN Architects, based in Milan, which includes architects, interior designers, product designers and 3D visualizers.

THE VISION
CSMN Architects starts each project by building an empathic connection with the users that will
eventually interact with new spaces designed by the studio: thinking spaces or objects in relation to people.
We always experiment and dare to move towards better design and architecture working with scales
from micro to macro. The available technology let our office to go beyond the limits of what has been already experimented
creating links between client, suppliers, industrial research and the heritage together with innovation and technology.
CSMN Architects also drives companies we works with to upcycle once-waste materials and tries to re-image entire
processes leading them to change with evolution and innovation. Our "design thinking" is the intersection of
challenges and breaking prejudices, finding unexpected connections between the familiar and the unexplored.
